I have a fire belly newt that's about 5 inches long. He's thriving in his tank. I recently baught 2 more. They were both about 2 inches long. Although I Knew it could be a problem, I put 1 in with my large one. He never eats live food. He won't even eat the freeze dried food until it's completely settled. But holy *%&@ He went completely nuts and grabbed the small one by the head and started shaking franctically. Needless to say I got the small one out of there. The large rarely comes out during the day and when he does he's not very active. For 2-3 hours after the incident, he patroled the tank looking for other intruders. I don't dare put another small one in there put was wondering if I could put a larger one (10 gallon). Now, on to the second Little newt. I put him in with my three fire belly toads in a seperate tank. It didn't take long for the frogs to attack it and grab it by the head. I litterally had to pull the newt out of my generally easily frightened toad's mouth. I was wondering if this was a hunger thing or a territorial thing, because they hadn't been fed in 2 days. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'd like to know Thesa's Web site adress
