two part apoxy safe or not

i remember seeing that someone say you can use hot glue or two part apoxt to glue rocks together and i used to part apoxy but some of it wasnt covered byt the roof of the cave i was building and i didnt like the way it looked so i tore the excess off but theres sticky wet stuff underneath thats been there almost two days will it dry up and go away, will the dry apoxy hurt a lizard if it licks it, should i just ditch the cave and try a new one with hot glue?
