Mine will hang out on the back of the couch. They can be very docile. Frilleds, as you can see in the thread below, aren't good starter lizards, and they also get quite a bit bigger. I always feel like I'm stressing my geckos if I have them out for a while, they're so delicate looking. Their skin isn't that much different from a snakes in terms of handling, though.
