      STATUS: Uncommon

      LOCALITIES OBSERVED:  Johnson Co.:  .1 mi N of county Rd. 1108 at Mill Creek;  Tarrant Co.:  Ft. Worth Nature Center, federal fish hatcheries below Lake Worth, and the Euless area

      DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Hood, Johnson, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant

      HABITAT:  The Brazos and Trinity River Bottoms

      COMMENTS:  Local observers may have misidentified the two species of cooters in this area of the state.
