      LOCALITIES OBSERVED:  Collin Co.:  Tanglewood Ct. in Wylie, Brockdale Park near Lake Lavon, and .5 mi W of East Fork Park near Lake Lavon;  Dallas Co.:  Seagoville area, gravel pits W of Carrollton, Glen Lakes Country Club Lake, White Rock Lake, and 3 mi E of Merritt Rd. on Pleasant Valley Rd;  Denton Co.:  E of Denton on Audra Lane;  Kaufman Co.:  2.0 mi N of Tx 243 on FM 987 and 3 mi W of Kaufman;  Tarrant Co.:  Federal fish hatcheries below Lake Worth dam, Ft. Worth Nature Center, and gravel pits off of Trinity Blvd. in Ft. Worth

      DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Parker, and Tarrant

      HABITAT:  Trinity River Bottoms, Blackland Prairie, and Post Oak Belt

      SUBSPECIES:  Mississippi Mud Turtle (K. s. hippocrepis Gray,1855)
