      LOCALITIES OBSERVED:  Dallas Co.:  Farmers Branch Creek, Tenmile Creek, Coombs Creek, gravel pits W of Carrollton, Spring Creek area N of Garland, and Seagoville area;  Denton Co.:  3.3 mi NW of Aubrey;  Tarrant Co.:  Trinity River tributary in River Legacy Parks in NW Arlington, the Clear Fork of the Trinity River at US 377 bridge, Marine Creek Lake, Webb area, and the Euless area;  Wise Co.:  4 mi NW of Alvord in Big Sandy Creek

      DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Collin,Dallas, Denton, Hood, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise

      HABITAT:  Ft. Worth Prairie, Trinity River Bottoms, Blackland Prairie, Eastern Cross Timbers, and Western Cross Timbers

      SUBSPECIES:  Pallid Spiny Softshell [A. s. pallida (Webb, 1962)]
