the Brazos River; Tarrant
Co.: Forest Park, Oakland
Lake Park near the W shore of Lake Worth, and Rockwood Park

Ellis, Hood, Somervell, and Tarrant
HABITAT: Trinity River
Bottoms, Mesquite Grand Prairie, and Cedar-limestone Hills
SUBSPECIES: Texas
Coral Snake [M. f. tenere (Baird & Girard, 1853)]
COMMENTS: The Texas
coral snake is vemonous and can be dangerous.
It has been found more commonly in limestone areas containing thick
stands of juniper and Texas oak.
