      STATUS:  Abundant

      LOCALITIES OBSERVED:  Collin Co.:  2 mi W of Wylie, 3.5 mi E of Wylie, and 2.5 mi N of Farmersville;  Dallas Co.:  Hampton Rd at Irving Blvd, Mt. Creek Lake area, Royal Lane near Tx 114, near Seagoville airport, Dallas Nature Center, end of Wagner Rd near Cedar Hill, and prairie area near Oates and I-635 in N Mesquite;  Kaufman Co.:  2 mi S of jct of US 80 on FM 429 and along FM 1565;  Parker Co.:  Rio Brazos Estates on Brazos River;  Tarrant Co.:  Benbrook-Aledo Rd and Old Granbury Rd. near Primrose;  Wise Co.:  Lyndon B. Johnson Nat'l Grasslands NW of Decatur

      DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise

      HABITAT:  Fort Worth Prairie, Mesquite Grand Prairie, Blackland Prairie, Western Cross Timbers, and Brazos River Bottoms

      COMMENTS:  The spotted chorus frog has declined in the last few years in the Metroplex for no apparent reason.
