      STATUS:  Uncommon

      LOCALITIES OBSERVED:  Dallas Co.:  Valley View Lane N of Tx 114 and Fish Creek Rd between Belt Line Rd and FM 1382;  Hood Co.;  .1 mi S FM 51 on FM 201 near Lollar Branch;  Parker Co.:  Lake Mineral Wells State Park, 10 mi S of Weatherford, and 5 mi S of jct of FM 51 on Tx 171;  Somervell Co.:  14 mi W Rio Vista at Johnson Ranch;  Tarrant Co.:  W of Lake Worth, Fort Worth Nature Center at Lake Worth, and SW of Lake Arlington;  Wise Co.:  Lyndon B. Johnson Nat'l Grasslands

      DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Dallas, Denton, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise

      HABITAT:  Western Cross Timbers, Eastern Cross Timbers, Mesquite Grand Prairie, Cedar-Limestone Hills, and Rolling Plains

      SUBSPECIES:  Eastern Green Toad (B. d. debilis Girard, 1854)

      COMMENTS:  No recent records have been observed at the Dallas County sites due to commercial and industrial development.  More collecting in the western part of the Metroplex should turn up more specimens of the eastern green toad.
