
In his new series on the Galapagos, Sir David Attenborough has captured a rare pink iguana on film for the first time. “It’s a remarkable thing in this day and age when you think about the number of scientists per square metre in the Galapagos, and yet suddenly we have discovered a new species,” Sir David said.

Biologist Michel Garey discovered a new species of tiny, three-fingered frogs, back in 2007, and last summer, the little critters got a name:
Brachycephalus tridactylus. The story of the frog species' discovery was published in
Herpetologica, a journal about the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians.
