I think this is very well written and straight to the point. I might also add that while I have not been completely satisfied with my own reaction to this and have not always been proud of my own responses, I am very proud of the leaders of this industry. That is why they were my heroes when I was a kid and remain so, now that I am an adult. I think, this industry is just starting to take off.

well said. i think you have really pointed out what is really going on in terms of the lobbyist and the people that profit from these bills being introduced. i think if people would take the time to educate themselves they wouldnt be so susceptible to so called non profits looking to profit. as of now iv only seen people be reactive to legislation and then turning to which ever organization has the best sells pitch. we ( the reptile industry) do not have the money to waste on lobbyist lobbying against bills that cant pass to begin with. we need to choose our battles wisely and fight them correctly. not with scare tactics fishing for donations.

The worste part about alot of these organizations that have the money to buy lobbyist is that they try to disguise their true intentions to lure in folks who would not normally agree with what they are trying to do or stand for. It is our job to inform folks with facts courtesy to what is actually taking place.
